Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone! Caden's George helped out with hiding eggs. Not that it mattered. Noah and Ethan are the only 2 that looked for them. Caden just wanted to eat his easter candy.

our trip to the movies

We took the kids to see Horton hears a Who today. It was Cadens first time at the movies. After he got up and down about 3 times, managing to push back on the guy sitting in front of us each time. Who I'm sure didn't like that. He also kept slurping his drink very loudly, and asking me to stir it, also very loudly. He finally climbed on my husbands lap and fell asleep. He saw maybe 30 minutes of the whole movie. Oh well, the other 2 really enjoyed it. Although, it was a cute movie I wouldn't spend movie theater money to go see it. At least not for 5 people. We could have gone to the IMax for what we paid! Yikes:(

I'll post some art work soon:)

just an update:)

My 3 year olds potty training is coming along well. It's the 3rd week. He's still not telling me when he has to go, but I can tell right away now. Like a true boy he's telling me how big his poo is when he goes. He got that from his older brothers I'm afraid. I swear living in a house with 4 boys really is interesting and kind of gross at times.

training funny

This morning I put Caden on the potty and he didn't go, then about 5 minutes later he goes in his pant. He had big boy undies on, not the nice thick training underpants, so he is soaked. I put him in the bath to clean up, not knowing Ethan, my middle son, hadn't turned off the shower head after his shower this morning. I have never seen anyone jump out of the bathtub faster! That cold water hit Caden and he's crying and screaming, looking up at the shower head with pure terror. It was pretty funny:)

potty training

I started potty training my 3 1/2 year old today. I went to change his diaper this morning and he tells me he doesn't want it. So that was that. I don't know why, but I thought I could train him just after his 3rd birthday. I have done this with 2 other boys. I know it usually doesn't happen until they are almost 4. That's just how it is with boys. Needless to say it didn't happen 6 months ago. He did great today! 8 times on the potty. I've been taking him every 30 minutes. I'm hoping he'll be able to tell me when he needs to go by Friday. Hopefully that's not wishing to much!

I didn't die

I have a habit of telling my boys when they are doing something dangerous , " Don't do that! Do you want to die!?" Extreme, I know. That's just how I think. Not ...you'll get hurt and have to get stitches, or have to go to the hospital, it's death if you do that.

Well tonight my youngest was running to the car and slipped on some ice and fell down. My husband helps him up and puts him in the car and asks him if he's alright. My 3 year old says, "I'm ok, I didn't die." LOL! What have I done?!

this is what happens when I'm not home

I was out last night, so my husband was home alone with the boys. He brought home a box of cookies for a treat. Well I guess he got a phone call from work, so he went into the other room and shut the door. Left all 3 boys at the counter with 3 cookies each and the box sitting on the counter. Well when my husband come out of from the closed door he found all but 4 cookies in the box had been eaten! My 3 boys eat in maybe 10 minutes, a whole box of cookies! Looks like treats are on hold for a while.

kids say the cutest things!

This morning I was trying to figure out what to wear today. I couldn't decide on the right color combo of hoodie and teeshirt. I got my shirts on and turned to my 3 year old and asked him if he thought my outfit looked alright. He shook his head and says,"No, it doesn't... you need pants on." In that very cute I can barely talk , very serious, 3 year old voice. I love moments like that.
( I did have undies on, I'm not that open in front of my son)

lunch box

This morning I'm packing my kids lunches and notice that my oldest didn't eat his sandwich from the day before. His lunch box has a sandwich compartment on the bottom, this is the lunch box he has had all year. I ask him, why didn't you eat your sandwich? He says, " OH, I forgot that my sandwich is in the bottom." Totally forgot.
I find my husband to vent about the stupidity of men our of ear shot of my sons. I tell him that I think God made men to be so dumb at times just to entertain women. He says " No, he made us dumb so we could put up with women. If he hadn't we wouldn't be able to live with them." LOL:) Of course this was all in fun, not 100% serious.

They just kill me sometimes. I mean seriously, you forgot that your sandwich is in the bottom? Did you not see the zipper on the bottom? Or wonder why mom didn't send a full lunch? Wouldn't one of these questions trigger a memory? ARRG!

smow+ water = wet and cold

What makes a puddle of water in the middle of winter so appealing? I mean really, it's wet, cold and very messy.

I walk with my youngest who's 3, to pick up my older 2 boys from school a few times a week. Every time we've had a little melt down in the snow, my son convenatly doesn't hear me when I say don't jump in the water. He jumps right in very puddle on the way to the school and back. Then without fail cries because he's wet and cold the minute we step in the house. You would think he would learn. Snow + water= wet and cold. What is so hard about that? He knows that when he touches the hot stove top ( which he's done only once) that it will not be pleasant. He knows when he jumps in the water, he's not going to like being wet. So why does he steer clear of the stove and runs to the water?! Boys, they really are from Mars! LOL:)
